FINAL also WIN Robert goes Vauxhall After Setting the fastest lap at the July Meeting of McLaren Mercedes sponsored Champions of the Future Cadet Kart Championship, Bromyard based kart driver Robert Hall was invited by the Vauxhall British Touring Car Team to spend a Test day with them at Oulton Park race circuit. Robert, who is 10, had lunch with three works drivers Jason Plato, Yvan Muller and Vincent Radermecker and was then given a tour of the cars and team by team director Ian Harrison. Later, he met with team owner and ex Formula One driver Derek Warwick before spending the remainder of the visit watching as both the Vauxhall team and the rest of the touring car teams set about preparing their cars for rounds 21 & 22 of the British Touring Car Championship. Before leaving, Robert was also introduced to Ford works driver and ex British Champion Alain Menu and Honda work driver Tom Kristensen. Robert, who goes to Bredenbury Primary School hopes, sponsorship permitting, to contest both the Champions of the Future and the Super One National Championships next year, both of which are televised on National TV.
