Elliott Patrick Wins in Style!
Elliott Patrick, 11, became the 2007 UAE National Champion in the Cadet
Karting finals held during last weekend at the Dubai Autodrome. Races
were re-scheduled to start at 6pm due to the heat and for most it was the
first time the karters had raced under the lights of the stadium.

Needless to say,
with a hungry pack at his heels,
Elliott
had to work
hard
to
fend off the competition and get the checkered flag to secure the championship
title. Tony

Elliott, sponsored by Tony Edward Motors,will be going up to the
Junior class next season having won the Kadet championship this year and
come in 2nd place last season. Tony fromHe
has put in a lot of hard work and practice to win the championship.
I don’t think anyone realises the level of commitment that’s required to
win this event.
Elliott
practices most weeks, in between his karate, tennis lessons and school
work, and his dad spends quite sometime in the garage getting Elliott’s
kart tip-top for the big day! “ We managed to get a word with Elliott
after his big race “It’s a great feeling to win the championship and I
would like to thank Tony Edward Motors for sponsoring me this season.
I have had the best looking kart on the track every race –- Tony sprays my
pods in his body shop and my kart always looks like new! It has been
a great season for me and I am up for the challenge of racing with the
Juniors next season.” We all wish Elliott the very best and are sure that
we will see a lot more of him in the future! |
